Fallowborn
An English serf who'll die in the mud he was born in. A blacksmith's apprentice in Aquitaine. A hedge knight with a good horse and an empty purse. Pick one of seven lives, anywhere from Ireland to the Urals to North Africa. The year is 867, and the job is the same for all of them: drag your bloodline up the ladder before it dies out — Serf → Freeholder → Gentry → Baron → Count → Duke → King → Emperor, one funeral at a time, while ~65 AI realms fight their own wars and redraw the map around you.
How it goes:
- Set a focus — work the land, drill the levy, haggle, court your intended — and time flows day by day. No click-spam; your wrist has feelings.
- Marry (mind your station), raise heirs, and carry on as the next generation when death comes. It comes.
- Once you hold land, play liege and vassal — grant counties to sworn men and crush their revolts, or raise your own banner for independence.

I have a problem that as a independent duke i cant take land as the enemy troops make my character accept tribute automatically, you should make a option between accepting peace as soon as the number of battles are done or only when you conquer them.
thanks for the suggestion - it should be live now
Found this to be the case as well, feels strange that they can force peace by just bashing their small army into mine over and over.
Latest build should have resolved this, are you on 1.26.2?
Yep fixed!
Great idea and already quite polished. Translation into other languages would be cool (german would be great)!
Danke! AI assisted translation seems feasible
*edit: it should be live now
How do I field men for my army?
There's currently no way to actually move an army around (wars are event driven). It's in the works though.
Oh okay, so how am I supposed to conquer and win wars?
Have a high martial (gives extra levies) lead the host focus, hire mercs, pray that you win battles 😂then siege target.
How do I hire mercs?
Should be one of the actions under deeds when at war
This is great, loving it so far. I've played for about 2 hours solid and still going.
WOW very nice game! I only wish there would be more info on the characters. Reginbald insulted me and i had no idea what faction he was from. perhaps greater use of coat of arms would make a huge difference in my opinion. Otherwise, just wow!
Thanks for playing and your feedback, this will be added in shortly.
*edit: should be fixed now!
